Testing the BioRender tool
The Main Library of the Warsaw University of Technology announces that on 11 May 2026, testing will begin on BioRender – a platform for creating professional scientific and educational illustrations.
BioRender enables the creation of multi-coloured diagrams, charts and graphics used in scientific publications, presentations, teaching materials and research projects. The tool offers:
- over 50 000 pictograms covering the fields of medical, natural and agricultural sciences,
- over 5 000 ready-made templates,
- icon libraries created by professional scientific illustrators,
- the ability to add labels, arrows and your own shapes,
- an AI module (each test participant will receive 50 credit points to use when working with the AI module).
The test is intended for academic and teaching staff, as well as PhD students at the Warsaw University of Technology.
A training webinar (online) in English: 12 May 2026 (Tuesday) at 2.00 pm. Attendance is voluntary (it is not required to sit the test).
Important information
- Test dates: 11 May – 11 June 2026
- To take the test, please complete the registration form.
- After testing the tool, we encourage you to complete a 2-minute evaluation survey.
Illustrations produced during the test may not be used for commercial purposes or included in grant or patent applications. The Main Library of the Warsaw University of Technology accepts no liability for the misuse of materials produced as part of the test.
