IHS Trial

We recommended trial to the service IHS Standards Expert – test will over on 27 of February, 2014 – search  E-resources and database-list on www.bg.pw.edu.pl .

 Users, who registered to the WUT libraries, get access (bibliographic descriptions and abstracts) to  the standards and technical materials from   over 370   institutions .

We would like to remind you about accessing e-resources  from the computers outside the Campus:
  • to access e-recourses at home you have to have valid library account
  • as a login (kod kreskowy) use: number under the barcode on your student card
  • password (hasło): the same as to the catalogue (small letters)

In a case of difficulties delete cookies and change settings in your web browser to accept them.

 

Charity Christmas collection

The Main Library is organizing a Christmas collection of toys, sweets and other necessary things for children from the Orphanage number 12 in Warsaw.
In the spirit of Christmas, please bring toys and deposit  in the Open Stacks area (2A level).
Duration of the action is December 5-12.

Trial of 2 databases

The Main Library was given an trial access to the additional databases at Web of Knowledge platform:

  • DATA CITATION INDEX - Discover research data, including data studies, data sets from a wide range of international data repositories and connect them with the scientific literature to track data citation.
  • CURRENT CONTENTS CONNECT - Complete tables of contents and bibliographic information from the world’s leading scholarly journals and books; also includes relevant, evaluated Web sites and documents.
  • BIOSIS PREVIEWS - Life sciences and biomedical research covering pre-clinical and experimental research, methods and instrumentation, animal studies, and more.
  • BOOK CITATION INDEX - The Book Citation Index in Web of Science connects a library’s book collection to powerful new discovery tools, giving researchers the ability to quickly and easily identify and access the most relevant books.
  • DERWENT INOVATION INDEX - Value-added patent information from Derwent World Patent Index® as well as patent citation information from Patents Citation Index**.

WUT Main library is offering free trial of two EBSCO databases.  The resources listed below are currently open for testing until November 14 :

“Applied Science & Technology Source offers extensive coverage of research and development within a wide variety of applied science and computing disciplines, including aeronautics, nuclear engineering, and neural networks. The database offers full text for almost 1,200 journals, citations to millions of articles (…) “*

Art Source™covers a broad range of related subjects, from fine, decorative and commercial art, to various areas of architecture and architectural design. Providing over 600 full-text journals, more than 220 full-text books, and a collection of over 63,0000 images, it is designed for use by a diverse audience, including art scholars, artists, designers, students and general researchers (…)”*

Access for all interested users from University Network – without log in, from private computers only for authorized users.

We strongly recommend testing them.
