  1. Can I borrow anything (books or journals) if I'm not a WUT student?  
    No, you can use our library collection on site.

  2. Why can't I use WUT network data bases on my home computer?
    Access to this databases is restricted (only WUT IP numbers are permitted/accepted)

  5. What should I do if I have lost a book that I borrowed?
    Contact a librarian immediately (there are several possible solutions to your problem).

  6. What should I do if I have lost my library card?
    Contact a librarian in the lending room, bring your students' ID or student's book and a photo. We will make a duplicate of your library card which costs 5 zlotys PLN.

  8. Is it possible to request books for loan by the internet?
    Any book that is marked as "request" in the field ... can be ordered by the internet.

  9. What are the consequence of not returning a book in due date?
    Your library account will be automatically blocked and you will not be able to borrow any books. Moreover you will be charged ... per day per item. The library account will be unblocked after you return book(s) and pay the fee.

  10. Is it necessary to have a library card to use a reading room?
    No, library card is not needed . You need only an ID with photo which you are obliged to show to a librarian when you enter a reading room.

  11. What should I do if I haven't found a book/journal which I need?
    Contact interlibrary loans.

  12. What should I do if I have forgotten my password?
    Contact a librarian in the lending room personally and get a new password.

  13. What does "free access" mean?
    In this part of the library you can take books from shelves on your own. Books in this collection can't be ordered.

  15. Where and how is the collection of standards available?
    The collection of standards is available in the WUT Library Reference Centre, room 161 b.

  16. Are there any foreign standards in the WUT Main Library?
    The collection of standards covers only the Polish Standards and Polish Standards harmonized with European and international standards. Foreign standards can be find in the Polish Committee for Standardization, Standards Reading Room , Warszawa, ¦wiêtokrzyska Street 14 b.

  17. Can I make a copy of standards?
    According to regulation of the Polish Committee for Standardization you are not allowed to make a copy of standards. Standards are available only on site.

  18. May I check e-mails in the Main Library?
    No, you can't.
    There are no workstations designated for using electronic mails.

  19. Can I connect my own laptop computer to the Internet in the Main Library?
    You can use your own computer in the Main Library unless you connect to the Internet

  20. Can I print out results of searching?
    Yes, up to 5 pages it's free.
    You can also save results of searching on CD ROM or diskette or send by e-mail.

  21. Why can't I borrow journals?
    According to Regulations of WUT Main Library nobody can borrow journals. You can only use them on side or just copy needed articles.
